The historic village fair that brings the streets of Cenaia to life every September
The Cenaia Fair is one of the most anticipated events in the September calendar of Crespina Lorenzana, in the province of Pisa, located in the heart of the Terre di Pisa in Tuscany. For an entire day, the village of Cenaia, the most populous district of the municipality, dresses up for the occasion: the streets and squares of the center fill with stalls and people, creating one of the most traditional village fairs in the area.
The heart of the event is the large open-air market that winds along Via Vittorio Veneto and the adjacent squares. Visitors will find a craft market with unique creations, various market stalls, and numerous stands dedicated to typical Tuscan products. There is no shortage of food stands offering traditional local rustic dishes, making the fair a perfect opportunity to discover the authentic flavors of the Pisan territory.
In addition to the market, the Cenaia Fair offers a program full of entertainment: live music in the squares, entertainment, and activities designed for families and children. Over the years, the event has been enriched with shows, parades, and themed initiatives, always maintaining its popular and welcoming character. Admission is free and open to all.
The fair is promoted by the municipal administration of Crespina Lorenzana in collaboration with local trade associations, such as Confcommercio and Confesercenti of the province of Pisa, and local organizations committed to event planning. The Cenaia Fair ideally opens the month of September dedicated to the municipality's festivals, which continues with the "Ancient Owl Fair" and other events in the village of Crespina, making this time of year particularly lively for the entire community.
The 2026 edition of the Cenaia Fair is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026, according to the Terre di Pisa summer events calendar. The village of Cenaia, a district of the Municipality of Crespina Lorenzana (PI), will once again be filled with market stalls, a craft market, typical Tuscan products, and food stands along Via Vittorio Veneto and in the central squares, featuring live music and entertainment for children. Admission is free.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, including times, exhibitors, and initiatives, will be announced by the municipal administration and organizers in the weeks leading up to the event, usually starting in the summer.

The large open-air market with crafts and typical Tuscan products, traditional food stands, and the popular festive atmosphere that enlivens the entire village of Cenaia.
Cenaia is a district of the Municipality of Crespina Lorenzana (PI), easily accessible by car from the SGC FI-PI-LI highway (exits in the Cascina or Pontedera area) and from the provincial roads of Valdera. The nearest train station is Pontedera-Casciana Terme, on the Florence-Pisa line, from which you can continue by car or local transport.
The fair generally takes place throughout the day, roughly from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Admission is free.
We recommend arriving in the morning to find parking near the center and enjoy the market at a leisurely pace. Wear comfortable shoes for walking among the stalls and bring cash for purchases at the craft and food stands.
