A gastronomic itinerary with red as the common thread
The Percorso in Rosso is an original gastronomic itinerary that takes place in the hamlet of Saint-Léonard, in Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, in the province of Aosta. The idea is simple and evocative: the color red becomes the common thread of the entire event, linking the dishes and drinks offered along the village streets. Visitors walk from stop to stop, tasting local specialties in an evening gourmet walk immersed in the mountain atmosphere.
The absolute star is the Vallée d'Aoste Jambon de Bosses DOP, the famous cured ham flavored with mountain herbs produced right in Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses. Alongside it are other Aosta Valley excellences: motzetta (salted and aged meat), jambon of Saint-Oyen, local cheeses, boudin with potatoes. As a counterpoint, Aosta Valley wines, red craft beers from Gran San Bernardo, and to finish on a sweet note, creamed raspberries and red fruit cakes.
Organized by the Pro Loco of Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, the Percorso in Rosso combines the promotion of typical products with the conviviality of a community festival, using the ancient communal oven for some preparations and always offering new proposals with each edition. It takes place around mid-August, when the Aosta Valley is in the full swing of summer, and represents an excellent opportunity to discover the authentic flavors of the Gran San Bernardo valley away from the most crowded destinations.
On August 13, 2026, the Percorso in Rosso returns to Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, in the hamlet of Saint-Léonard. Doors open at 4 PM, with hot dishes served from 6:30 PM.
