An enogastronomic itinerary with red as the common thread
The Percorso in Rosso is an original enogastronomic itinerary that takes place in the hamlet of Saint-Léonard, in Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, in the province of Aosta. The idea is simple and evocative: the colour red becomes the common thread of the entire event, linking the dishes and drinks offered along the village streets. Visitors walk from stop to stop, tasting local specialities in an evening gourmet walk immersed in the mountain atmosphere.
The absolute star is Vallée d'Aoste Jambon de Bosses DOP, the famous cured ham flavoured with mountain herbs produced right here in Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses. Alongside it are other Aosta Valley excellences: motzetta (salted and cured meat), jambon of Saint-Oyen, local cheeses, boudin with potatoes. As a counterpoint, Aosta Valley wines, Gran San Bernardo red craft beers, and to finish sweetly, creamed raspberries and red fruit cakes.
Organised by the Pro Loco of Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, the Percorso in Rosso combines the promotion of typical products with the conviviality of a community festival, using the ancient communal oven for some preparations and always offering new ideas with each edition. It takes place around Ferragosto, when the Aosta Valley is in the height of summer, and represents an excellent opportunity to discover the authentic flavours of the Gran San Bernardo valley away from the most crowded destinations.
On August 13, 2026, the Percorso in Rosso returns to Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, in the hamlet of Saint-Léonard. Opening is scheduled for 4 PM, with hot dishes served from 6:30 PM.
