The return of the market in Sarre
In 2026 the market of Sarre, in the province of Aosta, restarts on an experimental basis with a monthly formula. The municipal council has decided to bring a local market event back to the village, temporarily replacing the historic Friday appointments with a monthly cadence, set for every second Saturday of the month from May to December.
Seven stalls in the village square
The market is held in the equipped small square near the cemetery, where seven stalls have been set up (four of 35 square meters and three of 20 square meters). Opening hours vary with the season: from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM in summer and from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM in winter. A simple village event, designed for shopping and meeting locals.
An initiative for the territory
The return of the market responds to the decline in commercial offerings in the less-served areas of the municipality of Sarre, in the Valle d'Aosta. The administration's stated goal is to revitalize local trade and strengthen social cohesion, returning a place for exchange and socialising to the heart of the village.
