The great festival of grapes and Moscato of Chambave
The Féta di Resén (Grape Festival, in the local Patois) is the most important event for the community of Chambave (Province of Aosta), a village in the middle Aosta Valley famous for its white Moscato. Reaching its 65th edition in 2025, it is one of the longest-running and most beloved wine sagre in the region, organized by the Pro Loco of Chambave.
The Chambave Muscat DOC is one of the most renowned white wines of the Aosta Valley, the result of heroic viticulture practiced on the terraced slopes surrounding the town. The festival celebrates the harvest and the deep bond between Chambave and its wine-making tradition, with the winegrowers as the absolute protagonists.
The heart of the event are Le Crotte du Bor (the crotte, the village cellars): for the occasion, producers open the doors of their cellars to offer tastings of Moscato and other Aosta Valley wines, in a gastronomic journey through the village streets. There are also dinners featuring typical products, such as the traditional mixed fried fish.
The program combines very different moments: from the Vertical dell'Uva, an uphill race through the vineyards, to evening concerts and DJ sets, to the solemn mass in honor of the winegrowers accompanied by the Chambave brass band. A complete festival, capable of uniting flavors, sport, music, and faith in one grand celebration of Aosta Valley wine culture.
The 66th Féta di Resén is expected in Chambave in 2026. The historic Grape Festival traditionally takes place on the last weekend of September (around September 23-27, 2026), coinciding with the Moscato grape harvest.
The detailed 2026 program has not yet been announced. Based on recent editions, the festival spans several days with the renowned Le Crotte du Bor tasting route in the village cellars, dinners featuring typical products, concerts and DJ sets, the Vertical dell'Uva race, and the mass in honor of the winegrowers with the brass band. The complete schedule will be published by the Pro Loco of Chambave.
The detailed program for the 66th edition (2026) will be announced by the Pro Loco of Chambave in the weeks prior. Based on the usual structure, the festival includes:
