Lo Tsaven des Étoiles

A summer evening between market and stars

In Courmayeur, at the foot of Mont Blanc, Lo Tsaven des Étoiles opens the summer season with an evening dedicated to agricultural products from the Aosta Valley. The name comes from the Aosta Valley Patois: 'lo tsaven' was the cart that brought the fruits of the farmers' labour down to the valley, and today it gives its name to an event that celebrates the territory, its products, and local agricultural culture.

Zero-kilometre agricultural market

The heart of the evening is the market of local farms, with direct sale of zero-kilometre products. An opportunity to buy cheeses, cured meats, honey, and other specialities by meeting the producers directly, in one of the most evocative settings in the Alps.

Agri-aperitif and tasting

The market is complemented by an agri-aperitif with local wine tasting, prepared with local ingredients and guided by a sommelier. Accompanying the evening, a regional folk group brings Aosta Valley musical tradition to the market stalls.

For families

Attention is also paid to the little ones, with an educational workshop designed to introduce children to the world of agriculture and typical products. An event that tells the rural identity of Courmayeur, in the province of Aosta, through the flavours and traditions of the Aosta Valley.
