The major traveling street food festival stops at the Campi Diomedei
Every spring, International Street Food stops in Foggia, the capital of the Capitanata in Apulia, bringing the largest Italian traveling street food festival to the Campi Diomedei. The event, organized by the A.I.R.S. — Italian Street Food Association led by Alfredo Orofino, tours the entire peninsula, and Foggia is one of its most anticipated stops, supported by the Municipality of Foggia and in collaboration with the University of Foggia.
The festival is a true culinary trip around the planet. Along the gastronomic route, you will find the great classics of Italian street food — Apulian bombette, arrosticini, handmade olive ascolane, hanging caciocavallo cheese, fried fish, and octopus sandwiches — alongside the most beloved international specialties: slow-cooked pulled pork, gourmet burgers, churros, Spanish paella, and Greek, Mexican, and Argentine cuisine. There is also a wide range of traditional Italian and international desserts, as well as gluten-free options.
Accompanying the dishes is a refined selection of craft beers from Italian and international microbreweries. The Campi Diomedei area, a large archaeological park at the gates of the city center, comes alive with tables, lights, and a convivial atmosphere that makes the event perfect for families, groups of friends, and food and wine enthusiasts.
Admission is always free: you only pay for what you choose to enjoy at the stands. Thanks to its traveling and international nature, International Street Food has become a staple of the spring calendar in Foggia and the Province of Foggia, attracting thousands of visitors from all over Apulia.
The 2026 edition of International Street Food in Foggia took place from Thursday, May 14 to Sunday, May 17 at the Campi Diomedei Archaeological Park, as the 30th stop of the tenth edition of the national traveling festival organized by Alfredo Orofino's A.I.R.S., with the patronage of the Municipality of Foggia and the collaboration of the University of Foggia. Admission was free for all four days.
