The great charity Spanish lunch organized by the Pro Loco of Cambiano
The Gran Paella is the gastronomic event where the Pro Loco of Cambiano, a small town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont, brings the aromas of Spain to the table. The absolute star is the paella, prepared in its two most beloved versions, meat and seafood, and served during a convivial lunch open to families, friends, and all lovers of good food.
The event takes place under the Pro Loco's covered area on Via D'Ovia, a well-equipped, sheltered space that allows guests to be welcomed in any weather condition. The large, steaming paella pans become the heart of the day: rice, saffron, vegetables, meat, and seafood blend into a signature dish that reflects Mediterranean tradition and the joy of gathering around the table.
The Gran Paella is not just a feast for the palate: it is also a concrete gesture in support of the community. A portion of the proceeds from the lunch is donated to the Parish of Cambiano to support maintenance work on the Parish Church, including the replacement of the lighting system. Participating means enjoying a great meal while contributing to the well-being of the town.
As is the case with the best Italian Pro Loco initiatives, the organization is handled by volunteers who manage preparation, service, and hospitality. This is the strength of Piedmontese village festivals and dinners: authentic hospitality, affordable prices, and a family atmosphere that makes every edition a highly anticipated date on the Cambiano calendar.
Reservations are mandatory: to secure a seat at the table, you must contact the Pro Loco of Cambiano in advance at their headquarters on Via Cavour 4/a. The lunch begins in the early afternoon, around lunchtime, and continues in a festive atmosphere. It is the perfect opportunity to discover the conviviality of this village in the province of Turin and to savor a paella prepared with care, in the spirit of tradition and generosity.
