Food Night – Good Night

A completely yellow night in the heart of Gorizia

Yellow is the colour of Coldiretti and Campagna Amica, and it's the colour that invades via IX Agosto, in the centre of Gorizia, one June evening. Food Night – Good Night, the Yellow Night of food promoted by Coldiretti Gorizia, transforms the street, closed to traffic, into a large open-air market where the absolute protagonists are the producers and flavours of the Isontino area.

The four territories of the Isontino

The heart of the evening is the tastings, organised to showcase the four gastronomic souls of the province: Gorizia, the Collio, the Carso and the Laguna. Each station offers typical products from its own territory, accompanied by equally numerous wine tastings, on a journey of taste that crosses the landscapes and traditions of the Isontino.

Farms, artisans and farmer's aperitif

Dozens of farms — including wineries and a brewery — participate in the evening, along with farmhouses, artisans and an artisanal ice cream shop. There is also a farmer's aperitif with craft beers and cocktails, while workshops, for example on ceramics, are planned for the little ones. Everything is zero-kilometre, to enhance the work of local farmers.

Music, taste and atmosphere

Accompanying the festival is live music, with local bands enlivening the evening, and an invitation to dress in yellow to participate in the spirit of the Night. A convivial event that combines good food, wine, community and support for local agriculture, in the centre of a city that looks to its countryside.
