The Collio in celebration

Cormòns is one of the capitals of Collio, one of the most prestigious wine-growing areas in Italy, straddling the border with Slovenia. Here, every year at the end of September, the Provincial Grape Festival is celebrated, an event that since 1938 accompanies the community in the most important moment of the year for a land of wine: the harvest.

A tradition spanning the twentieth century

Among the longest-running in the region, the Grape Festival is recognized as one of the most significant celebrations of the enological culture of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Through the decades, it has managed to renew itself while maintaining its bond with the land, the winemakers, and the rural traditions of the Collio.

Wine, flavors, and entertainment

The center of Cormòns, between Piazza della Libertà, Piazza XXIV Maggio, and the connecting streets, fills with over forty stands offering tastings of great Collio wines and regional gastronomic specialties. The program alternates concerts, DJ sets, round tables, and shows for all ages, with an original vintage market dedicated to objects and clothing from the 1950s to the 1990s.

The harvest parade

The highlight is the traditional parade on Sunday afternoon, featuring folklore groups, musical bands, historic tractors, vintage cars, and bicycles parading through the city streets. A collective celebration that, with the support of the Municipality of Cormòns and local organizations, celebrates the identity of one of Italy's most beloved wine regions.
