The festival of Clauzetto's symbolic dish

In the heart of summer, the village of Clauzetto - overlooking the Carnic Prealps in the province of Pordenone - brings to life its most cherished festival: the Fiesta da la Balote. At the centre of the event is the balote, the village's typical dish: a large polenta dumpling filled with local spicy cheese, a genuine expression of the peasant and mountain cuisine of this part of Friuli.

Mountain flavours in Piazza Ceconi

For several evenings, Piazza A. Ceconi transforms into the pulsating heart of the village: the food stands open in the evening and offer the balote along with other specialties of Friulian tradition, to be enjoyed outdoors in a friendly and convivial atmosphere. It's the perfect opportunity to discover the authentic flavours of Clauzetto and the surrounding plateau.

Music and evenings with company

Good food is accompanied by live music evenings, with bands and groups animating the square until late at night. The Fiesta da la Balote preserves the authentic spirit of village festivals, where the community gathers around food, music, and company, also welcoming passing visitors.

Clauzetto and the Pradis Caves

Organized by the Pro Loco Clauzetto, the festival is also a good excuse to discover a little-known and fascinating corner of Friuli: the village of Clauzetto, known as the 'balcony of Friuli' for its panoramas, and the nearby Pradis Caves, among the most suggestive natural destinations in the province of Pordenone.
