About Fiera dei Sapori di Carlino
The flavours of the lagoon and the land
Carlino, a small municipality in Bassa Friulana near the Marano lagoon, in the province of Udine, has a very close relationship with water and land. The Fiera dei Sapori (Flavours Fair) was created to showcase this dual soul: on one hand, the fruits of the lagoon — eel, sea bass from the valleys, clams — and on the other, the specialities of the Friulian countryside, from wild boar to truffles, including the traditional colaçs, the ring-shaped biscuits for celebrations.
A celebration of the territory
The fair is promoted by the Municipality of Carlino with the support of PromoTurismoFVG and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, in collaboration with the local Pro Loco (tourism association) and local associations. The heart of the event is Piazza San Rocco, where the food stalls, themed tastings, and entertainment take place. It is a community-built festival, capable of attracting visitors from all over Bassa Friulana and the lagoon area.
Tastings, music, and nature
The programme blends taste and entertainment: alongside stalls offering traditional Friulian dishes and local wines, there are themed tastings, evening concerts, guided excursions to discover the lagoon environment, family activities, and culinary competitions. The official opening, with an inaugural parade in Piazza San Rocco, kicks off three days in which Carlino becomes a showcase of the flavours and traditions of an authentic corner of Friuli, suspended between fishing valleys, countryside, and lagoon.
Fiera dei Sapori di Carlino — edition 2026
For 2026, the Fiera dei Sapori in Carlino is preparing its 11th edition, expected in September with dates yet to be confirmed (in 2025 it was held from September 19th to 21st, in 2024 from October 18th to 20th). The format of three days dedicated to the region's flavours is renewed, with Piazza San Rocco as the heart of the event.
The programme includes food stalls with specialities from the Friulian lagoon and countryside, themed tastings, evening concerts, guided excursions, family activities, and culinary competitions. The event is promoted by the Municipality of Carlino with the Pro Loco and local associations.

The detailed programme for the 11th edition and the official dates will be announced in the coming weeks by the Municipality of Carlino. Based on previous editions, the fair typically unfolds as follows:
- Friday evening: official opening with inaugural parade in Piazza San Rocco and opening of the food stalls.
- Over the weekend: themed tastings of regional specialities (eel, sea bass from the valleys, clams, truffles, wild boar, colaçs), evening concerts, guided excursions in the lagoon environment, family activities, and culinary competitions.

How to get there: Carlino (UD) is located in Bassa Friulana, between Latisana and Cervignano; A4 motorway exits at Latisana or San Giorgio di Nogaro.
Admission: free access to the fairgrounds; food stalls are paid. Reservations and information at the info point at the Town Hall (SMS 347 0010575).
Accommodation: facilities in Marano Lagunare, Lignano Sabbiadoro, and in the lagoon area.
