Carlino's Summer Festival

When the July evenings bring a bit of coolness to the Bassa Friulana, Carlino — a lagoon municipality in the province of Udine — gathers around its Sagra Paesana, the festival that the Pro Loco of Cjarlins organises every summer at the Parish’s celebration park. It is a village festival in the truest sense: born from volunteer work and grown as a meeting point for the entire community.

Fried Panzerotti, the Festival's Signature

If there is one dish that identifies this festival, it is the fried panzerotti, a delicious specialty that draws visitors from neighbouring towns and accompanies the evenings along with other traditional Friulian dishes and local wines. The food stand is the beating heart of the event, where Pro Loco volunteers work to offer genuine cuisine at popular prices.

Music, Fun, and Community

Around the food, a programme of musical evenings and entertainment animates the celebration park, in a familiar and carefree atmosphere. The Sagra Paesana is one of those events that mark the Friulian summer: unpretentious, full of conviviality, and that sense of community which is the true heritage of the small towns of the Bassa, between the lagoon and the countryside.
