About Dolo-Vini-Miti

Dolo-Vini-Miti is the vertical wine festival that brings the Val di Cembra and Val di Fiemme valleys in Trentino to life every autumn. It is a tribute to the heroic viticulture of steep dry-stone terraces, where Müller Thurgau, Riesling, Pinot Nero, and Trentodoc are produced at altitudes above 700 meters. Based in Cembra Lisignago, the program weaves together vertical tastings, gourmet wine trekking through the vineyards, aperitifs with views of the Dolomites, masterclasses, conferences, and performances, inviting visitors to discover a landscape recognized as a historic rural heritage site of Italy.

Dolo-Vini-Miti, the vertical wine festival

Dolo-Vini-Miti is the food and wine festival dedicated to vertical wines and heroic viticulture that unites the Val di Cembra and Val di Fiemme in the heart of Trentino every autumn. The event is a tribute to the terraced vineyards supported by famous dry-stone walls, which together span hundreds of kilometers of stone and shape a unique landscape recognized as a Historic Rural Landscape of Italy. The municipality of Cembra Lisignago is one of the main hubs for the festival in the Cembra Valley.

The heroic viticulture of the Cembra Valley

Here, vines climb steep slopes with elevation changes exceeding 700 meters, and the harvest is still carried out by hand, shoulder to shoulder. It is the realm of mountain grape varieties: Müller Thurgau, Riesling, Pinot Nero, and Trentodoc sparkling wines—wines defined as "heroic" precisely because of the effort and passion required to cultivate them. Dolo-Vini-Miti was created to tell the story of this identity and to guide visitors, enthusiasts, and the curious through the local wineries, vineyards, and flavors.

A program of vineyards, taste, and culture

The festival is spread across numerous events throughout the two districts. Experiences offered in various editions include:

  • Gourmet Wine Trekking: a walk through the autumn vineyards with gourmet stops curated by valley chefs and pairings with local wines;
  • Vertical tastings of Trentodoc, Müller Thurgau, Riesling, and Pinot Nero guided by the producers;
  • Caneve en festa: a tasting itinerary through the traditional caneve (wine cellars) of the villages;
  • Masterclasses with sommeliers and experts, conferences on the values of heroic viticulture, and evening performances;
  • Guided trekking to discover vineyards, earth pyramids, and ancient churches, plus aperitifs with views of the Dolomites in Val di Fiemme.

Why attend

Dolo-Vini-Miti is an invitation to experience the territory at a slower pace: walking through the rows of vines, entering the cellars, listening to the stories of the winemakers, and savoring typical Trentino products is the most authentic way to understand the value of these mountain wines. An event that combines food and wine tourism, culture, and landscape, promoted by APT Fiemme e Cembra together with the Valle di Cembra Tourist Association.
