The vertical wine festival between Val di Cembra and Val di Fiemme
Dolo-Vini-Miti is the food and wine festival dedicated to vertical wines and heroic viticulture that unites the Val di Cembra and Val di Fiemme in the heart of Trentino every autumn. The event is a tribute to the terraced vineyards supported by famous dry-stone walls, which together span hundreds of kilometers of stone and shape a unique landscape recognized as a Historic Rural Landscape of Italy. The municipality of Cembra Lisignago is one of the main hubs for the festival in the Cembra Valley.
Here, vines climb steep slopes with elevation changes exceeding 700 meters, and the harvest is still carried out by hand, shoulder to shoulder. It is the realm of mountain grape varieties: Müller Thurgau, Riesling, Pinot Nero, and Trentodoc sparkling wines—wines defined as "heroic" precisely because of the effort and passion required to cultivate them. Dolo-Vini-Miti was created to tell the story of this identity and to guide visitors, enthusiasts, and the curious through the local wineries, vineyards, and flavors.
The festival is spread across numerous events throughout the two districts. Experiences offered in various editions include:
Dolo-Vini-Miti is an invitation to experience the territory at a slower pace: walking through the rows of vines, entering the cellars, listening to the stories of the winemakers, and savoring typical Trentino products is the most authentic way to understand the value of these mountain wines. An event that combines food and wine tourism, culture, and landscape, promoted by APT Fiemme e Cembra together with the Valle di Cembra Tourist Association.
The fourth edition of Dolo-Vini-Miti will be held from October 1 to 4, 2026, confirming the autumn appointment dedicated to the vertical wines of the Val di Cembra and Val di Fiemme. The organizers have announced the official dates, while the full calendar of events is expected in the coming weeks.
The festival's signature formats are anticipated: Gourmet Wine Trekking through the terraced vineyards, vertical tastings of Trentodoc, Müller Thurgau, Riesling, and Pinot Nero, masterclasses with sommeliers, a conference on heroic viticulture, aperitifs with views of the Dolomites, and evening performances spread across the villages. The detailed program will be published on the official website visitfiemme.it.
The festival takes place between the Val di Cembra and Val di Fiemme in Trentino-Alto Adige, with events at various locations; Cembra Lisignago (postal code 38034), in the province of Trento, is one of the main hubs.
By car: from the A22 Brenner motorway, take the Trento Nord or Egna/Ora exit, then travel up the Val di Cembra along the SP71. By train: reach Trento station, then use local bus connections to the valley. Nearest airports: Verona and Bergamo.
