An autumn festival in the heart of Valsugana

The Pumpkin Festival and More is one of the most cherished autumn traditions in Pergine Valsugana, located in the Autonomous Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. Every October, the Parco ai Tre Castagni transforms into a vast open-air village dedicated to the flavors, colors, and scents of the season: pumpkins of every shape and size, honey, chestnuts, and typical products from the Trentino valleys.

The event is promoted by the Pro Loco of Pergine in collaboration with the Valsugana Lagorai Tourist Board, with the support of the local municipal administration, the Valsugana Beekeepers Association, and the Trentino-Alto Adige Chestnut Growers Cooperative. It is an event designed primarily for families, where children are the true protagonists amidst games, workshops, and educational activities.

What to expect at the festival

The program blends tradition, taste, and fun in a convivial setting. Highlights include:

• Pumpkin exhibition and display, featuring giant specimens and curiosities of every variety;
• Pumpkin carving workshops and creative sessions for both adults and children;
• The honey and chestnut village, featuring exhibits, tastings, and demonstrations;
• Educational farm on the weekend, featuring chickens, ostriches, donkeys, sheep, lambs, and goats;
• Activities for children, face painting, go-karts, and themed workshops;
• Handicrafts and ancient trades, with stalls and live demonstrations;
• Shows and live music to liven up the days;
• Gastronomic area serving dishes based on pumpkin, chestnuts, honey, and other seasonal products.
