The Cavateddi and Crastuna Festival is one of the most cherished gastronomic events in Floridia, a town in the Province of Syracuse, Sicily, nestled on the edge of the Iblean plateau. The event was born from a desire to celebrate the dishes that form the town's collective memory, bringing the flavors of home-cooked meals and the joy of gathering around a good table back to the public square.

Cavateddi are a typical Sicilian pasta made entirely by hand from a dough of durum wheat semolina and water, sometimes enriched with potatoes; they have an elongated shape and a characteristic hollow center that perfectly holds the sauce. Alongside them, the crastuna—land snails prepared according to the Iblean peasant tradition—take center stage as a humble yet iconic dish that is a source of pride and celebration in Floridia.

The heart of the festival is Piazza Vito Bugliarello, which fills with stalls, aromas, and music for the occasion. The usual program includes:
