The Christmas Village in the heart of Syracuse

Every December, the Foro Siracusano, in the historic center of the Municipality of Syracuse, in the province of Syracuse (Sicily), transforms into a grand Christmas Village. The setup takes place at the so-called Villini, along Corso Umberto I, and becomes a meeting point for families, children, and visitors throughout the holiday season, right up until Epiphany.

Ice rink, market, and street food

The heart of the initiative is the ice skating rink, a beloved attraction that draws both adults and children to the city center. Surrounding the rink is a Christmas market with wooden huts dedicated to handicrafts and typical Sicilian products, while numerous street food stalls offer specialties to enjoy while strolling among the festive lights.

A project by the Municipality of Syracuse

The village is promoted by the Municipality of Syracuse through the Department of Productive Activities, with the goal of making the city center attractive during the holidays and supporting local commerce. The administration complements the event with initiatives dedicated to local merchants and customers, in the spirit of a participatory and widespread Christmas.

Mediterranean atmosphere

Conceived as a family-friendly space, the Syracuse Christmas Village combines the tradition of European holidays with the warmth of the Mediterranean, offering an experience suitable for all ages in the evocative setting of the Foro Siracusano. Admission to the village is free.
