The best of Roman cuisine in Caselette
The Carbonara Festival arrives in Caselette, a small town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont, at the foot of Mount Musinรจ. Set up in Piazza Cays, the festival is a true traveling tribute to Roman culinary tradition, transforming the town square into a corner of the Capital for a few days of taste and conviviality.
The undisputed star is, of course, the carbonara, prepared according to the original recipe, alongside other great classics of Roman cuisine: cacio e pepe, amatriciana, carciofo alla giudia (Jewish-style artichoke), abbacchio scottadito (grilled lamb chops), porchetta d'Ariccia, and coda alla vaccinara (oxtail stew). There is also plenty of room for pinsa romana, offered in numerous variations, including vegetarian and vegan options. All washed down with cold beer and wines from the Castelli Romani.
Beyond the food and wine, the festival offers live entertainment with Roman folk music performances, which liven up the evenings, creating a festive and family-friendly atmosphere. Admission is free and the event takes place outdoors in a welcoming setting suitable for everyone, from families to groups of friends.
Following its 2025 debut, the Carbonara Festival has established itself in Caselette as a highly anticipated date in the summer calendar of the Province of Turin. The event is part of a traveling circuit that visits various locations in Northern Italy, bringing the same winning formula everywhere: good traditional Roman food, affordable prices, and lots of cheer. A perfect opportunity to discover or rediscover the iconic dishes of the Capital without leaving Piedmont.
Confirmed on the official website of the Municipality of Caselette, the second edition of the Carbonara Festival will be held in Piazza Cays from June 18 to 21, 2026. Four days dedicated to the great classics of Roman cuisine, with free admission and food stands open for lunch and dinner.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, including stand opening hours and the schedule of musical performances, will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event. Based on past editions, the festival will feature food stands with Roman dishes (carbonara, cacio e pepe, amatriciana, pinsa romana, porchetta d'Ariccia, abbacchio scottadito) open for lunch and dinner, and Roman folk music shows in the evenings.
