About Beinette Carnival

The Beinette Carnival is the most colorful winter festival in this small town in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. Organized by the local Pro Loco and parish youth leaders, the event brings Piazza Umberto I to life with a parade of allegorical floats and masked groups, children's snacks and games, awards for the best creations, and, to cap off the day, the famous evening Great Ravioli Feast with all-you-can-eat ravioli and a DJ set until late at night.

The Beinette Carnival

The Beinette Carnival is one of the most cherished winter events in the small town of Beinette, located in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of the Piedmontese plains. Every year, between February and Valentine's Day, the town streets fill with confetti, masks, and music for a festival designed for both adults and children, bringing the entire community together.

The Allegorical Float Parade

The heart of the event is the parade of allegorical floats and masked groups that starts from Piazza Umberto I and winds through the town center. The meeting point is in the early afternoon, with the procession starting shortly after: dozens of costumed participants accompany the floats built by local groups in a display of imagination and wit. The 2026 edition saw over three hundred participants, confirming the festival's deep roots in the local area.

Awards and Winners

At the end of the parade, the awards ceremony for the most successful floats and masked groups takes place in Piazza Umberto I. In 2026, first place went to «Che schianto!», followed by «Bee Happy» and «Cammina cammina… a Santiago non si arriva», showcasing the creativity of local groups.

The Great Ravioli Feast and DJ Set

The day concludes with a highly anticipated social gathering: the Great Ravioli Feast in the multipurpose hall, renamed «Raviol House» for the occasion, where all-you-can-eat ravioli are served. The evening continues with a DJ set and entertainment until late at night, turning the festival into a meeting point for all ages.

A Piedmontese Village Festival

Organized by the Beinette Pro Loco together with parish youth leaders, the Beinette Carnival is an authentic example of a Piedmontese village festival: popular tradition, collective participation, and hospitality. For those visiting the province of Cuneo in winter, it is the perfect opportunity to discover the genuine atmosphere of the small towns in the Piedmont Region, complete with masks, local gastronomy, and family fun.

Beinette Carnival — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the Beinette Carnival opened on Saturday, February 14, with the Carnival dinner, while the allegorical float parade, originally scheduled for the same day, was postponed to Saturday, February 21, due to bad weather. The festival, organized by the Pro Loco and parish youth leaders, drew over three hundred participants, including masks and groups, to Piazza Umberto I.

The 2026 Beinette Carnival was divided into two parts. On February 14, Valentine's Day, the multipurpose hall was transformed into the «Raviol House» for the evening Great Ravioli Feast with all-you-can-eat ravioli, followed by a DJ set by MADJ until late at night. Due to bad weather, the parade of allegorical floats and masked groups was postponed to Saturday, February 21: meeting at 2:30 PM in Piazza Umberto I, start of the procession at 3:00 PM, snacks and games for children from 4:00 PM, and awards ceremony at 5:00 PM.

Over three hundred participants took part in the parade. The awards ceremony saw «Che schianto!» win, ahead of «Bee Happy» and «Cammina cammina… a Santiago non si arriva».
