The neighborhood festival of Borgo Ferrone in Mondovì
Ferrone in Festa is the event that brings the Ferrone district of Mondovì, in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont, to life every late July. Originally a small neighborhood gathering, it has evolved over the years into one of the most cherished summer events in the entire Monregalese area, attracting families, young people, and visitors from across the city and neighboring towns.
The heart of the festival is the large marquee set up in Largo Beato Piergiorgio Frassati, right in front of the district's parish church. This is where the dining, entertainment, and social gatherings that define every evening take place.
What makes Ferrone in Festa truly special is its charitable spirit. The event is organized by the "Cui dur Ferun" Pro Loco thanks to the dedication of over seventy volunteers, and the proceeds from the traditional lottery are donated to concrete community projects. In recent years, this has helped fund medical equipment for the Pediatric ward of the Mondovì hospital and the creation of an inclusive "Soft Room" at the local primary school, designed to support children with disabilities and their peers.
The event is held under the patronage of the Province of Cuneo and the Municipality of Mondovì, with the support of the Fondazione CRC and Fondazione CRT. It is an authentically popular event where the community spirit of Borgo Ferrone can be felt in every corner.
The 2026 edition of Ferrone in Festa brings five days of fun, gastronomy, and solidarity to the Borgo Ferrone of Mondovì, under the large marquee in Largo Beato Piergiorgio Frassati. The program weaves together music, flavors, and moments dedicated to inclusion, with the special participation of PizzAut, the project founded by Nico Acampora that has revolutionized inclusive employment for autistic individuals through the restaurant industry.
