Food and wine trekking through the terraced vineyards of Val di Cembra
Set against a landscape shaped by dry-stone walls and terraced vineyards in Val di Cembra, one of Trentino's most evocative wine-growing regions, Baiti en Festa is a food and wine walk that invites you to discover the valley's flavours step by step. The event takes place in the hamlet of Serci, in the municipality of Giovo (Autonomous Province of Trento), along a route that winds past traditional baiti and country houses nestled among the vines.
The trail covers approximately four kilometres and is designed to be accessible to everyone: families with children, strollers, and people with disabilities can enjoy it without difficulty. Along the way, you will encounter four wine-tasting stations offering a total of eight tastings: starting with the mountain bubbles of Trentodoc classic method, moving on to the valley's still, mineral white wines and local reds, and finishing with grappa. 16 wineries and 3 local distilleries bring the stops to life, sharing the story of their work in the vineyards with participants.
Beyond the wine, the experience is enriched by food trucks that enliven the route with pizza, potato tortel, burgers, and gelato, while each participant receives a welcome basket containing an apple, focaccia, and a large biscuit. There is also live music and a themed game dedicated to viticulture and the curiosities of Val di Cembra, with prizes to be won. Baiti en Festa is organised by the Val di Cembra Tourist Association with the support of ApT Fiemme Cembra and has become a highly anticipated date in the Cembran spring-summer calendar.
The tenth edition of Baiti en Festa took place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in the hamlet of Serci di Giovo, in Val di Cembra. The event, originally scheduled for May 16, was postponed by a few weeks due to bad weather. Along the four-kilometre route through the terraced vineyards, participants encountered four wine-tasting stations with a total of eight tastings, ranging from Trentodoc bubbles to whites, reds, and grappa, hosted by 16 wineries and 3 distilleries from the area.
The 2026 format introduced the truck edition, with food trucks offering pizza, potato tortel, burgers, and gelato, while each walker received a basket with an apple, focaccia, and a large biscuit. The final stop at Maso Spini hosted live music.
During the walk, a themed game on viticulture and the curiosities of Val di Cembra is offered, with prizes to be won.
