The Path Festival in Fai della Paganella

Festival Orme is a cultural event held every September that transforms Fai della Paganella, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige), into an open-air laboratory dedicated to walking and connecting with nature. Established in 2018, the festival is built on the philosophy that "some things can only be understood by walking": performances, concerts, meetings, and workshops do not take place in halls or theaters, but along the trails, in the woods, and across the meadows of the Paganella Plateau.

The 2026 Edition: "The Path is Dialogue"

The ninth edition centers on the theme "The Path is Dialogue", exploring the relationship between people, the environment, and the community. It examines walking as a conversation between earth and sky, science and wonder. For the first time, the festival spans the entire year with various events across the region. The opening took place on June 21, 2026, the summer solstice, featuring forest bathing, family workshops, and the immersive show "Essere Bosco" by Miscele d'Aria Factory. The main event follows from September 9 to 13, 2026.

A Program Between Woods and Trails

Five days of events transform the Parco del Respiro and the Paganella trails into natural stages. Key highlights include:

• The Giovanni Allevi concert on Friday, September 11, at Parco del Respiro, a fusion of music, emotion, and dialogue;
• A performance by Andrea Cerrato on Saturday, September 12, at the Paganella Fun Park;
• The "Dialoghi nel Bosco Bootcamp", a three-day journey alternating forest bathing, mindfulness practices, hikes, and insights into biodiversity and sustainable forest management;
• The "Healing Paths" roundtable, alongside numerous guided hikes, creative workshops, and activities for children and families.

Nature, Well-being, and Community

Orme weaves together culture, nature, and physical experience: gong baths, theatrical trekking, mindful walks, and moments of reflection guide the audience on a journey that is both physical and emotional. Great attention is paid to inclusion and accessibility, with activities designed for people with disabilities. The festival celebrates the identity of the Paganella Plateau and the Alpine traditions of Trentino, where the forest becomes a space for listening and community.

An Event in Trentino-Alto Adige

Organized by the Consorzio Fai Vacanze, Festival Orme is a staple of the late Trentino summer, attracting hikers, families, and mountain enthusiasts alike. The event traditionally concludes with the Desmontegada, the parade of livestock returning from summer pastures—a moment of local identity that blends popular celebration, farming tradition, and conviviality.
