A unique wellness festival on the Paganella plateau

Sounds of Sauna is a wellness event series that brings the ACQUAin - Andalo Life center to life. Located in the town of Andalo on the Paganella plateau in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige), the center is a hub for Nordic sauna culture. This is not a traditional concert or show, but a multi-sensory experience where sauna rituals meet music, theater, and the art of sound.

The festival marks the year with four seasonal events, held during the solstices and equinoxes: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Each edition celebrates the changing seasons with a dedicated program that turns a day at the spa into a true sensory journey.

Reimagining Aufguss and sound baths

During Sounds of Sauna, Aufguss rituals and sound baths are reimagined by cultural entertainment professionals, turning them into increasingly immersive and engaging live musical and theatrical performances. Within the saunas, relaxation areas, and the center's most evocative spaces, guests discover ancient instruments like strings and percussion, surrender to deep harmonic experiences, and encounter artists who weave stories into the steam.

The program for each edition varies, featuring meditative Aufguss sessions with Tibetan singing bowls, immersive sound baths, scrub rituals, collective drum circles, live music groove sessions, and comedic or theatrical interludes. Activities have limited capacity, and booking for individual sessions is handled directly at the center with the sauna masters.

Born from guest passion

The festival was born from the passion and friendship of a group of dedicated ACQUAin regulars, the Sounds of Sauna trio, who combined their artistic talents to create not just simple performances, but true fusions of different arts. Each edition features special guests, including mimes, musicians, and performers who enrich the program.

The ACQUAin center

The experience takes place at ACQUAin, located at Viale del Parco 1 in Andalo. The center offers a path through various atmospheres of temperature and humidity: a Finnish sauna, a bio-sauna with chromotherapy, a hay and mountain pine climate sauna, a Turkish bath, an infrared cabin, a Kneipp path, cold plunge pools, Scottish showers, a whirlpool on the panoramic terrace, and relaxation rooms. It is the ideal setting to experience the philosophy of Alpine and Trentino wellness.

How to participate

Sounds of Sauna is included in the day spa admission ticket; no separate ticket is required. The dates follow the rhythm of the seasons, with the spring edition in March, summer in June, autumn in September, and winter in December.
