About Bagno a Ripoli Mangiami

Bagno a Ripoli Mangiami is the street food festival by GNAM Food Event, debuting in May 2026 at the Giardino Silvano Campeggi "I Ponti" on Via Roma. Enjoy four days of high-quality street cuisine, mobile kitchens from across Italy, craft beers, and cocktails in a fully equipped, free-entry area. On the weekend, the event merges with the Torneo della Lega di Ripoli, a medieval and Renaissance historical re-enactment by the Contrada Alfiere, creating a celebration that blends taste, spectacle, and tradition in the heart of this Florentine town.

Bagno a Ripoli Mangiami, a village of taste at I Ponti

From May 21 to 24, 2026, the Giardino Silvano Campeggi, known locally as "I Ponti" on Via Roma in Bagno a Ripoli (Province of Florence, Tuscany), transforms into a massive street food village. This is the inaugural edition of Bagno a Ripoli Mangiami, a traveling event organized by GNAM Food Event, making its first appearance in this corner of the Florentine countryside, just a few kilometers from the city center.

For four days, the park will host mobile kitchens and restaurateurs from all over Italy, with a dedicated area featuring tables for a relaxed dining experience. Admission is completely free: you only pay for what you choose to taste, making it the perfect outing for families, friends, or a casual evening out.

Flavors in the square

The culinary selection brings together classic Tuscan and Florentine dishes alongside specialties from across the peninsula and the world. The stalls will feature:

  • Chianina PGI beef burgers and Scottish Black Angus
  • Lampredotto, tripe, and other Florentine delicacies
  • Porchetta and pulled pork
  • Fried pizza and Neapolitan fried snacks
  • Abruzzese arrosticini
  • Fried fish, paella, and international cuisine
  • Warm bomboloni (doughnuts) filled with cream, chocolate, and pistachio

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free options are also available, paired with craft beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Street food meets the Renaissance: The Torneo della Lega di Ripoli

The highlight of the event is its collaboration, during the weekend of May 23 and 24, with the Torneo della Lega di Ripoli, a historical re-enactment curated by the Associazione Culturale Contrada Alfiere under the patronage of the Municipality of Bagno a Ripoli. The gardens will come alive with a medieval and Renaissance historical camp featuring groups from across Tuscany: falconers, flag-wavers, costumed ladies, knightly battles, archery, historical fencing, dances, and workshops for children and teenagers.

The re-enactment is deeply rooted in local history: the community of Bagno a Ripoli was once part of the 76 "Leghe" (Leagues) that formed the civic militia of the Florentine countryside starting in 1250. Strolling between the street food stalls and the re-enactors' camps offers a brief journey through time, from contemporary flavors to the charm of the Renaissance.

An event for the whole community

Bagno a Ripoli Mangiami is the result of a collaboration between GNAM Food Event, the Municipality of Bagno a Ripoli, the Contrada Alfiere, the Pro Loco, and the local shops of Via Roma. The spacious Giardino dei Ponti, equipped with a playground and parking, is the ideal venue for a festival designed for all ages, bringing late spring weekends to life with music, entertainment, and great food.
