About Voxonus Morozzo

The Voxonus Festival, a travelling concert series dedicated to rediscovering baroque and neoclassical music across Liguria and Piedmont, arrives for the first time at the Castle of Morozzo, in the province of Cuneo. It is a precious stop for a festival that, from May to December, hosts over seventy free concerts in churches, villas, and historic residences across both regions. In the evocative setting of the castle of the Marquises of Pamparato, nestled in a park overlooking the Brobbio stream, the public can enjoy an event of great cultural value with free admission.

The Voxonus Festival arrives in Morozzo

For the first time, the Voxonus Festival stops in Morozzo, a small village in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. The choice of location is no coincidence: the concert is held at the Castle of Morozzo, an ancient residence of the noble Marquises of Pamparato, located in the heart of the village and surrounded by a charming park that stretches to the banks of the Brobbio stream, recently restored to its former glory.

A travelling festival between Piedmont and Liguria

The Voxonus Festival is a travelling musical event dedicated to the rediscovery of baroque and neoclassical music, often performed on period instruments. Conceived and directed by violist Claudio Gilio and promoted by the Savona Symphony Orchestra, the festival traverses Liguria and Piedmont from May to December, with a calendar featuring dozens of concerts in fascinating venues: ancient churches, villas, charterhouses, and historic homes. The Morozzo stop is part of a broader journey that, from the Alps to the sea, aims to bring a wider audience closer to the great repertoire of the 17th, 18th, and early 19th centuries.

"Beyond the Screen": cinema soundtracks

The Morozzo concert offers a particularly accessible and engaging program titled "Beyond the Screen": a musical journey through the most famous soundtracks in cinema history. The star is the Crossover Trio, an ensemble with a unique timbre that weaves together viola, accordion, and guitar in arrangements designed to capture all the emotion of great cinematic scores.

A free event in the Cuneo area

Like all Voxonus Festival events, the concert at the Castle of Morozzo is free to attend, with the option of a voluntary donation to support the festival. It is a precious opportunity to discover a lesser-known corner of the province of Cuneo, combining live music with a visit to a historic castle and its park. The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Piedmont Region, and the CRT and CRC Foundations.
