The premier natural, organic, and biodynamic wine fair in Pescara
Viva la Vite is one of Italy's leading fairs dedicated to natural, organic, and biodynamic wine. The event is hosted in Pescara, the provincial capital nestled on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo, and has become a national benchmark for artisan producers and a growing community of enthusiasts.
The heart of the fair lies in the tasting counters, where you can meet dozens of winemakers who oversee every step of production, from vine cultivation to bottling. The selected producers work exclusively with their own grapes or those sourced locally, eschewing herbicides, synthetic pesticides, and GMOs. They also practice a conscious use of sulfur dioxide, allowing the terroir to truly shine in the glass. The fair hosts wineries from numerous Italian regions—from Abruzzo to Lombardy, Veneto to Tuscany, and Campania to Sicily—as well as international producers, particularly from Spain.
Alongside wine, Viva la Vite showcases a whole universe of artisan beverages and products: spirits and liqueurs, low- or no-alcohol drinks, kombucha, specialty coffee, and a selection of gourmet food producers. The event also features a food area, a fair bar, and convivial moments with street food, DJ sets, and live music to accompany your tasting experience.
The program is enriched by free masterclasses and thematic workshops, designed to delve into the world of natural wine as well as related topics like non-alcoholic beverages, artisan bread, and pasta production. Spaces are limited and require booking to ensure an intimate and curated experience with the experts.
Organized by VLV SRL, the fair takes place in iconic city venues, from the central Ex Aurum to the Padigl to the Padiglione Becci at the Marina di Pescara tourist port, overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Viva la Vite is the perfect opportunity to discover the finest artisan wines from the Italian and European landscape while experiencing the hospitality and flavors of Abruzzo.
The 2026 edition of Viva la Vite took place in Pescara on Sunday, May 10th and Monday, May 11th, with an important change: the fair left the Ex Aurum to arrive at the Padiglione Becci of the Marina di Pescara tourist port, overlooking the Adriatic.
Over sixty exhibitors were present, including winemakers, distillers, producers of low- and no-alcohol beverages, specialty coffee roasters, and artisan food producers. Numerous Abruzzese wineries were at the fair—including Alaterra, Bossanova, Esselè, I Vignali, and Lammidia—alongside producers from many other Italian regions and Spain.
Sunday opened with breakfasts and workshops from the early morning, while tasting counters were active from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. On Monday, the fair continued from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with free masterclasses dedicated to non-alcoholic beverages, artisan bread, and pasta production, with limited spots available by reservation. The event also featured a street food area, the fair bar, and DJ sets that enlivened the days.
