The premier wine showcase of the Adriatic region at the Aurum in Pescara
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Pescara Abruzzo Wine is one of the most established wine exhibitions in the Adriatic capital, an event that draws enthusiasts, sommeliers, and industry professionals to Pescara every year between late November and early December. The event is held in the elegant Sala D'Annunzio at the Aurum, the historic building in the heart of the Pineta Dannunziana that once housed the Aurum liqueur distillery and has since become the "Factory of Ideas," a cultural landmark for the city of Pescara.
The hallmark of Pescara Abruzzo Wine is its formula of unlimited and complimentary tastings: visitors are free to sample between 240 and 270 labels presented by over a hundred wineries from the so-called Adriatic Region, a climatically homogeneous territory stretching ideally from the Gargano to the Conero. The event employs the "Grape Based" tasting system, which encourages comparing wines starting from the same grape variety: an approach that highlights indigenous varieties like Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, making the exhibition a true laboratory of oenological knowledge.
At the heart of the event is the National Wine and Culture Award City of Pescara, a recognition that underscores the relationship between wine production and local culture. The organization is managed by the AIES Adriatica Delegation of Pescara, a group that has spent years promoting the knowledge and appreciation of the skills and flavors of the Adriatic area.
Set in Abruzzo, in the province of Pescara, the exhibition is much more than a simple tasting: it is an opportunity to tell the story of the oenological identity of a region that has made wine one of its most recognized ambassadors worldwide. Strolling through the tasting tables at the Aurum means meeting producers, hearing their stories, and discovering a heritage made of vineyards, hills, and tradition. It is an event that blends the convivial with the cultural in a city overlooking the Adriatic, where wine is a cherished part of the collective memory.
At the moment, the dates for the 2026 edition of Pescara Abruzzo Wine have not yet been announced. The exhibition, which celebrated its nineteenth edition in 2025, is usually held at the Aurum in Pescara toward the end of the year. As soon as the AIES Adriatica Delegation releases the calendar and program for the next edition, this page will be updated with all relevant information.
The exhibition is held at the Aurum - La Fabbrica delle Idee, in Largo Gardone Riviera in Pescara, within the evocative setting of the Pineta Dannunziana.
By train: Pescara Centrale station is a short distance from the Aurum, reachable on foot or by local public transport. By car: Take the Pescara Sud exit on the A14 motorway, following signs for the seafront and the Pineta Dannunziana. By plane: Abruzzo Airport in Pescara is just a few kilometers from the city center.
Tastings are unlimited and complimentary. We recommend checking the opening hours and any access procedures on the event's official social media channels.
