The wine, food, and music festival in the historic center of Oria
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Vinhyria is the food and wine event that brings wine, quality food, and great music to the ancient heart of Oria every summer, a Messapian town in the province of Brindisi, in the Salento region of Puglia. Conceived and organized by the Officine Salentine Cultural Association in collaboration with La Bottiglieria di Brindisi, the festival offers an original format: not just a simple fair, but a true interactive journey of sensory exploration and discovery through food, wine, and music.
Visitors traverse the historic center starting from Via G. Renato Lombardi, climbing the alleys up to the evocative Chiostro dei Celestini in Parco Montalbano, one of the city's most scenic spots. Along the way, guests encounter winery stalls featuring a selection that takes visitors on a journey through Italian oenological excellence from south to north: over twenty labels to taste, glass in hand, paired with local dishes.
Alongside the wine, the absolute star is Apulian gastronomy in a street food format. Oria's historic restaurants offer their traditional recipes reinterpreted for the street, from orecchiette to sausage sandwiches, accompanied by food trucks and master cheesemakers with their burrata and fresh cheeses. It is an opportunity to showcase the typical products of Salento in a convivial and informal setting.
The soundtrack of Vinhyria is provided by live bands, traditional Salento sounds, and DJ sets that animate the village until late at night, turning squares and alleys into a widespread stage. Previous editions have featured local bands and musical projects, alongside interactive moments such as a web app for voting on favorite wines.
Now in its fourth edition in 2025, Vinhyria has established itself as one of the most anticipated events of the Oria summer, capable of promoting Italian wine culture, Apulian cuisine, and the beauty of the Messapian historic center simultaneously. An event that weaves together wine culture, popular traditions, and social life, attracting visitors from across the province of Brindisi and the rest of Salento every year.
At the moment, the dates for the 2026 edition of Vinhyria have not yet been announced. The food and wine event in Oria, in the province of Brindisi, has always taken place during the summer months, with tastings of wines from all over Italy, typical Apulian street food, and live concerts in the historic center. To stay updated on the calendar and program, it is recommended to follow the official Instagram and Facebook profiles @vinhyria of the Officine Salentine Association.
