The Christmas village of Campi Salentina, featuring lights, nativity scenes, and markets
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Natale in Festa is the major Christmas festival in Campi Salentina, a town in the province of Lecce, nestled in the heart of northern Salento. For over a month, from late November until Epiphany, the town dresses up for the holidays, becoming a true Christmas village filled with lights, music, creativity, and tradition. The event is promoted by the Municipality of Campi Salentina in collaboration with the Pro Loco and local associations, featuring a diverse program designed to immerse residents and visitors in a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere.
The program takes place in various locations throughout the town: Piazza Libertà, the beating heart of the festivities, the Pastoral Center, the Mother Church, and the charming historic center. The streets are adorned with festive lights and installations, while the lighting of the Christmas tree symbolically marks the start of the celebrations with music and treats for everyone.
More than just a series of events, Natale in Festa is a gathering point for the community of Campi Salentina. Families meet in the squares, children participate in workshops and entertainment, and the religious and popular traditions of Salento—from the living nativity to Advent rituals—blend with moments of celebration and conviviality. It is an authentic way to experience Christmas in Puglia, away from large commercial circuits, immersed in the identity of a village that knows how to build community.
Those spending the holidays in Salento will find a perfectly sized Christmas in Campi Salentina: intimate, genuine, and packed with activities for all ages. It is yet another reason to discover this corner of the province of Lecce, with its local flavors, traditional crafts, and warm Apulian hospitality.
For 2026, Campi Salentina is once again preparing to renew the appointment with Natale in Festa, the festival that transforms the town in the province of Lecce into a grand Christmas village every year. At the moment, the dates and program for the 2026 edition have not yet been released by the organizers.
Based on previous editions, one can expect a program spread across Piazza Libertà, the Pastoral Center, the Mother Church, and the historic center, featuring markets, creative workshops for children, a living nativity, concerts, and tastings of traditional Salento products. To stay updated on the official calendar, we recommend following the channels of the Municipality of Campi Salentina and the Pro Loco.
Campi Salentina is located in the north of Salento, in the province of Lecce. By car, it can be reached via the SS613 Brindisi-Lecce state road; the Campi Salentina railway station is served by the Lecce-Novoli-Nardò regional line. The nearest airports are Brindisi-Salento (approx. 40 km) and Bari (approx. 130 km).
Events mainly take place in Piazza Libertà, the Pastoral Center, the Mother Church, and the historic center. Most activities are free to attend; some workshops may require booking. Dates and the program for each edition are released annually through the official channels of the Municipality of Campi Salentina.
We recommend combining your visit with a tour of the historic center and the town's churches, as well as sampling the local Christmas gastronomy.
