The great summer concerts at Marina Piccola, in the heart of the Gargano
The Vieste Summer Fest is the summer music series promoted by the Municipality of Vieste to bring life to one of the most beloved towns in Apulia, perched on the Gargano promontory in the province of Foggia. Launched in 2025, the festival features major free-admission concerts in the evocative setting of Marina Piccola, where the stage lights up with the sea acting as a natural backdrop.
The formula is that of a major popular event: nationally renowned artists, diverse genres ranging from pop to urban and hip-hop, and open-air evenings capable of attracting audiences of all ages. The goal stated by the municipal administration is to balance tourist flows during the first week of August and offer young people a chance to gather, consolidating Vieste's image as a summer destination capable of hosting high-profile events.
For two nights, Piazza Marina Piccola becomes the beating heart of the city's nightlife. The evenings, free and open to everyone, combine live music, emotion, and energy in one of the most photographed settings on the Gargano coast, nestled between the beach, the historic center, and the famous white cliffs that define the Vieste coastline.
Vieste is one of the most famous seaside destinations in Apulia: its historic center perched on the promontory, the lighthouse, the Pizzomunno monolith, and the long beaches provide a natural setting for the festival. Attending a Vieste Summer Fest concert means experiencing live music immersed in the atmosphere of one of the iconic locations of the Apulian summer, where tradition, the sea, and major events meet.
The 2026 edition of the Vieste Summer Fest features two musical events at Piazza Marina Piccola, both with free admission. On Friday, July 31, Fred De Palma, one of the protagonists of the Italian urban and pop scene, takes the stage; on Saturday, August 1, it is the turn of Gemelli Diversi, the historic hip-hop pop group, with the concert starting at 9:30 PM.
The initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Vieste, aims to balance tourist flows during the first week of August and offer a moment of gathering, particularly for younger people, confirming the formula that yielded excellent results at its 2025 debut.
By car: Vieste can be reached via the SS89 and SS693 roads that run along the Gargano coast; the nearest motorway exit is Poggio Imperiale (A14). By train: Foggia station is the main railway hub, from which you can continue by bus towards the Gargano. By plane: Bari airport is the most convenient, located about two hours away by road.
Vieste Summer Fest evenings are free to attend. Concerts take place in the evening at Piazza Marina Piccola, generally starting around 9:30 PM.
During the festival, Vieste is very busy: we recommend booking accommodation in advance and reaching the concert area on foot, given the limited parking availability in the center.
