Saline Truck is the heavy vehicle, tuning car, and motorcycle rally that, within just a few editions, has become one of the most anticipated autumn events in Margherita di Savoia, a town in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani (BT), in Puglia. The event transforms the town's large market area into a true explosion of color, engines, and music, attracting enthusiasts and curious visitors from across the region and beyond.

A tribute to the world of truckers

At the heart of the event is a tribute to truckers, the silent protagonists who travel thousands of kilometers every day to ensure the transport of goods. The participating trucks arrive carefully decorated, both inside and out, and equipped with spectacular lighting and sound systems—true jewels on wheels that tell the story of the pride and passion of those who live the road as a profession and a lifestyle.

Program and activities

Alongside the trucks, the rally hosts a rich collection of tuning cars and customized motorcycles from various Apulian provinces and other Italian regions. During the main day, the area comes alive with performances, music, and entertainment:

• exhibition of decorated vehicles, with lighting systems illuminated at dusk;
• DJ sets that keep the party going until late at night, turning the area into a large open-air dance floor;
• the iconic Tara Girls, now a symbolic presence at Saline Truck evenings;
• memorial moments dedicated to truckers and motorcyclists who have passed away.

Saline Truck is not just for motor enthusiasts: the format is designed to involve children and families as well, with driving simulators, toy trucks, inflatables, and attractions for kids. Free admission makes the event accessible to everyone and helps make it a collective celebration for the entire local community.

Hosting an event of this kind also has tourism value for Margherita di Savoia. The municipality, famous throughout Italy for its salt pans (among the largest in Europe) and its thermal waters and mud baths, uses Saline Truck to promote local tourism even in the autumn season, extending the event calendar beyond the summer. The organization is managed by the Pro Loco of Margherita di Savoia together with the Saline Truck group, the Flamingo Riders, and a dedicated group of haulers, with the patronage of the Municipality.
