New Year's Eve in the Square is the event where the community of San Ferdinando di Puglia, a town in the Barletta-Andria-Trani province in the heart of the Apulian Tavoliere, bids farewell to the old year and welcomes the new one. Every December 31st, the central Piazza della Costituzione becomes the town's main gathering point: an open-air celebration, free and open to everyone, designed to enjoy the wait for midnight together, right in the heart of town and in a safe environment.

A massive open-air party

The evening is designed as one long musical show. On the stage set up in the square, DJs, vocalists, and performers take turns playing the hits that have made generations dance, from 80s classics to the latest chart-toppers. The production is enhanced by a giant LED wall, stage effects, geysers, streamers, and continuous entertainment, with gadgets distributed to the crowd for a night dedicated to fun and togetherness.

The highlight is the countdown leading up to midnight, greeted by fireworks and a collective toast. The music continues late into the night, turning the town center into a widespread party.

An event for the community

Organized by the Municipal Administration of San Ferdinando di Puglia, New Year's Eve in the Square was created as a collective celebration aimed primarily at young people and families: an evening to have fun and exchange greetings while staying in your own city, without having to travel elsewhere. Over the years, it has become a consolidated tradition in the town's winter calendar, alongside other key moments of local life such as the patronal feast.

The simple and inclusive format helps make the San Ferdinando di Puglia New Year's Eve one of the most beloved winter events in the BAT area, capable of drawing people of all ages to the square.
