The week dedicated to love on the Gargano
Vieste in Love is the festival that, every year at the beginning of September, turns Vieste โ a famous seaside resort on the Gargano, in the province of Foggia โ into the Apulian capital of love. For an entire week, art, music, dance, and entertainment fill the squares and narrow streets of the old town, offering residents and tourists a season finale full of emotion and romance.
The heart of the event is Piazza Marina Piccola, which overlooks the sea and becomes a large open-air stage for evening concerts. The performances then extend to the alleys and terraces of Vieste's evocative historic center, where dancers, performers, and art installations guide the public on a journey dedicated to love in all its forms.
The program alternates between big names in Italian music, comedy and theater shows, DJ sets, and dance evenings. One of the most anticipated events is the Vieste Music Festival, a competition that rewards young musical talents from all over Italy, judged by a panel of professionals. There are also plenty of activities for families and children, with entertainment designed for audiences of all ages.
All Vieste in Love events are free of charge, a hallmark that has contributed to the festival's great success, attracting thousands of visitors to the city even after the summer season has ended. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Vieste, is now a permanent fixture in the Gargano and Puglia event calendar.
The dates for the 2026 edition of Vieste in Love are confirmed: the festival will be held from September 7th to 13th, 2026, in Vieste, on the Gargano. As per tradition, for one week the city will become the Apulian capital of love with concerts, shows, dance, and the usual Vieste Music Festival, all with free admission.
At the moment, the full lineup and artist names have not yet been announced: the detailed program will be published by the Municipality of Vieste on official channels in the weeks preceding the event. The events will take place, as in previous editions, mainly in Piazza Marina Piccola and in the historic center.
Vieste is located on the Gargano promontory, in the province of Foggia. By car, it can be reached from the A14 motorway (Poggio Imperiale or Foggia exit) by continuing along the Gargano state roads. The nearest train station is Foggia, which is connected to Vieste by bus lines; in summer, maritime connections are active with the Tremiti Islands and other coastal towns.
All events are free of charge. Evening concerts are mainly held in Piazza Marina Piccola, generally in the evening; additional performances bring the historic center to life. The detailed program is published on the official channels of the Municipality of Vieste in the weeks preceding the event.
Given the large turnout, it is advisable to arrive early for the main concerts and to book your accommodation in advance, as it is in high demand even in early September.
