The dance, music, and performance festival for young talent in the Gargano
Vieste in Arte is the summer festival that lights up the evenings of Vieste, the pearl of the Gargano in the province of Foggia, every June. For four consecutive nights, the seafront and the city's most beautiful spots become an open-air stage where the protagonists are the youth: dance students, emerging bands, and young musicians showcasing the results of a year of hard work and passion.
The event unfolds in two main chapters. The first evenings are dedicated to dance and take place on the Marina Piccola promenade, one of the most scenic spots overlooking the sea: here, local students perform, from kindergarteners to adults. The following evenings shift focus to live music, featuring concerts by youth bands enriched with dance choreography, culminating in a spectacular rock show at the Anfiteatro Carlo Nobile.
The heart of Vieste in Arte is the collaboration between three local entities: the Passi d'Arte dance school, led by Umberto Rado and Roberto Morelli, the Fever Dance Academy directed by Francesca Di Salvio, and the Nuova Diapason musical association directed by Maria Candelma. Together, they create a festival that focuses on the artistic growth of young people and the educational value of performance, with the patronage and support of the Municipality of Vieste.
More than just a series of recitals, Vieste in Arte has become a reference point for local families and the many tourists who begin to flock to the Gargano in June. Free admission, the seaside setting, and the festive atmosphere make it one of the first great social occasions of the summer, capable of bringing different generations together through dance and music.
Set in one of Puglia's most beloved tourist destinations, among beaches, traditional trabucchi fishing platforms, and the historic center perched on the promontory, Vieste in Arte highlights local talent within the setting of the Gargano National Park. Attending these evenings means experiencing the city in its most authentic and communal dimension, far from large commercial events and close to the spirit of the territory.
The fourth edition of Vieste in Arte took place from June 21 to 24, 2026, confirming the formula that combines dance and music from the young talents of the Gargano. The first two evenings animated the Marina Piccola promenade with dance performances, while the last two moved to the Anfiteatro Carlo Nobile for the musical portion. The event, supported by the Municipality of Vieste, was born from the collaboration between the Passi d'Arte and Fever Dance Academy schools and the Nuova Diapason association, with the grand rock finale created in collaboration with the MadMall of Mattinata.
The dance evenings take place on the Marina Piccola promenade, while the musical evenings are held at the Anfiteatro Carlo Nobile, near Marina Piccola in Vieste (FG).
Vieste can be reached by car via the SS89 Garganica road; the nearest train stations are Foggia and San Severo, which are connected to Vieste by bus services. In summer, maritime connections are available to the Tremiti Islands and other Adriatic ports.
Admission to all evenings is free.
