The beer festival in the heart of Vieste, on the Gargano coast
The Vieste Beer Festival is the event that transforms the heart of Vieste, the famous seaside town on the Gargano promontory in the province of Foggia, into a long, open-air toast every summer. For one night, the central streets of Viale XXIV Maggio and Via Madonna della Libera fill with stalls, lights, and music, creating a path entirely dedicated to beer, good food, and community.
The festival features eight beer stations distributed along the route: a selection ranging from major brands to local labels, without forgetting those looking for non-alcoholic or gluten-free alternatives. Accompanying the pints is traditional Apulian street food, including fried pettole, paposcie, cones of cheese and cured meats, bombette, and even beer-flavored gelato.
The musical program is the second heartbeat of the event: it kicks off in the early evening with live performances and entertainment for children, then gives way to a DJ set late at night that keeps the crowd going until the early hours. The informal and convivial format has made the festival one of the most anticipated events of the Vieste summer.
The event is organized by the Associazione Le Vie dello Shopping di Vieste, with the patronage of the Municipality of Vieste. Started almost as a game, it has grown over a few editions into a moment of gathering and promotion for local businesses, capable of enlivening the streets and giving visibility to small town shops. It is a way to experience Vieste in the evening, one pint at a time, in the heart of the Gargano tourist season.
For its third edition, the Vieste Beer Festival returns to the city center on Saturday, July 11, 2026. From 7:00 PM, Viale XXIV Maggio and Via Madonna della Libera come alive with eight beer stations, traditional Apulian street food, children's entertainment, and live shows. Late in the evening, the baton passes to the music, with a DJ set accompanying the public until nightfall. The organizers aim to surpass the results of previous editions, with a stated goal of reaching 2,000 tickets.
The festival takes place along Viale XXIV Maggio and Via Madonna della Libera, in the center of Vieste (Province of Foggia, Apulia). The route is pedestrian-only.
The entry ticket costs €12 and includes three beer tastings. Advance tickets are available at numerous local outlets: beach clubs, ice cream parlors, tobacco shops, and businesses in the center.
Vieste can be reached by car via the SS89 Garganica; the nearest train stations are in Foggia and San Severo, which are connected to the Gargano by bus lines. In summer, maritime connections are active with the Tremiti Islands and other Apulian ports.
