The Christmas spirit of the Giudicarie Valleys in Tione di Trento

The Tione Christmas Market takes place at Parco delle Ville, in the center of Tione di Trento, the main town of the Giudicarie Valleys, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Created to showcase the traditions and products of this alpine region nestled between Lake Idro and the Brenta Dolomites, the market has grown year after year to become one of the most recognizable Advent events in the western Trentino valleys.

A village of chalets and a heated igloo

The park is transformed into a small Christmas village with about twenty-five wooden chalets dedicated to local crafts and zero-kilometer gastronomy. As you stroll through the market, you will be surrounded by festive scents, twinkling lights, and live music—an atmosphere designed for both adults and children. The heart of the experience is the heated igloo, where visitors can escape the cold and watch live show cooking demonstrations while enjoying freshly prepared dishes.

Show cooking with top local chefs

The signature format that has made this market famous is the show cooking series "The Flavors of the Giudicarie," which features renowned chefs from the Trentino region. Past editions have welcomed culinary masters such as Federico Parolari (Due Spade in Trento), Manuele Ferrari, Vinicio Tenni (Gallo Cedrone in Madonna di Campiglio), and Enrico Croatti, all of whom have showcased local ingredients and traditional recipes.

Flavors, choirs, and entertainment

Alongside the chefs' creations, the chalets offer the finest food and wine specialties from the Giudicarie and Chiese Valleys: canederli, mountain cheese, cured meats, desserts, and typical Trentino mountain products. The calendar is packed with creative workshops, games for children, Christmas choir concerts, and entertainment along the park paths and town streets, accompanying visitors throughout the holiday season.
