The children's Carnival parade in Arzano
Ti Conosco Mascherina? is the Carnival parade that every year, in the month of February, brings the streets of Arzano to life, a town in the province of Naples just outside the regional capital. Created as a festival designed especially for the little ones, the event is promoted by the municipal administration in collaboration with local schools and has established itself in just a few editions as one of the most anticipated appointments of the city's Carnival season.
The event kicks off from the Villa Comunale, the gathering point and starting point of the parade, before winding along the main arteries of the center: via Napoli, via Galilei, via Melito, piazza Cimmino, via Roma, and via A. Pecchia, before returning to the Villa Comunale where the parade concludes. Along the way, children in masks parade amidst confetti, streamers, colors, and joy, in a parade that involves the entire community and fills the urban fabric of Arzano with celebration.
The heart of the event is the local schools and their students, the true driving force of the event. The city's comprehensive institutes, including the IC 4 D'Auria Nosengo, participate with children from preschool, primary, and lower secondary school, accompanied by teachers and supported by their families. The parade thus becomes an educational and social occasion, which combines the fun of Carnival with a sense of belonging to one's city.
"Ti Conosco Mascherina?" is much more than a simple costume parade: it is a moment of sharing and inclusion that involves different generations. Safe conduct is guaranteed by the Arzano Municipal Police and the support of law enforcement, while the involvement of schools, teachers, and parents makes the day a symbol of community and civic identity. As highlighted by the administration, the Carnival represents a symbol of community, sharing, and belonging.
Located in the hinterland north of Naples, in Campania, Arzano experiences one of its most heartfelt popular traditions with this event. The children's parade fits into the rich panorama of Campanian Carnivals, re-proposing the festival of masks in a local, child-friendly key. For families and visitors, it is the ideal opportunity to discover the most authentic and joyful face of this town in the Naples area.
The "Ti Conosco Mascherina?" Carnival parade returned to Arzano on Friday, February 13, 2026. The gathering was set for 09:30 at the Villa Comunale, skating rink side, with the parade starting at 10:00 and concluding around noon. Once again this year, the protagonists were the children from local schools, including the IC 4 D'Auria Nosengo, accompanied by teachers and families along the city route.
The gathering and start of the parade take place at the Villa Comunale of Arzano (skating rink side), in the province of Naples. The route covers via Napoli, via Galilei, via Melito, piazza Cimmino, via Roma, and via A. Pecchia.
Arzano is located a few kilometers north of Naples and is easily accessible by car via the Naples Tangenziale and the Asse Mediano. By train, the reference station is Napoli Centrale, which is then connected to urban and suburban transport towards Arzano.
Participation in the parade is free and open to everyone. During the parade, some streets in the center may undergo traffic changes: it is advisable to consult the notices of the Municipality of Arzano.
