The Wonder Market in Grumo Nevano

In the heart of Grumo Nevano, a town in the metropolitan city of Naples in Campania, the Wonder Market transforms the streets and squares of the center into a path of crafts and celebration for a day. The event is promoted by the Pro Loco of Grumo Nevano, in collaboration with Aicast, Empire Music, and the Rinascita association of Grumo Nevano, and takes place under the patronage of the Municipality of Grumo Nevano.

Handmade crafts

The absolute protagonist is quality craftsmanship, strictly handmade. Along Via Duca d'Aosta and Piazza Cirillo, numerous stands are lined up where exhibitors offer their creations, the result of manual skill and passion.

• Textiles and embroidery, worked according to traditional techniques;
• Nativity scenes, which recall the great Neapolitan tradition of nativity art;
• Wooden artifacts and other gift items, ideal for getting into the festive spirit.

A program for the whole family

Alongside the stalls, the Wonder Market offers a rich calendar of entertainment designed especially for children and families. Music and dance performances enliven the squares, while face painting and a caricaturist bring smiles to visitors of all ages. To make the day even more special, there is the magical little train, which takes adults and children on a tour through the streets of the town.

Piazza Cirillo and local memory

It is no coincidence that the market develops around Piazza Cirillo, named after Domenico Cirillo (1739-1799), a physician, botanist, and patriot born in Grumo Nevano and an illustrious figure in the city's history. Walking among the stands thus means crossing the symbolic places of the town, in an intertwining of craftsmanship, community, and local identity.

Held in October, the Wonder Market is now an awaited event in the associative life of Grumo Nevano.
