The Pumpkin Village: Carinaro's autumn festival

Every year, as autumn arrives and Halloween approaches, the Pumpkin Village brings the "A. Sepe" Municipal Villa in Carinaro, a town in the province of Caserta in Campania, to life. Established in 2023, the event has quickly become a highly anticipated appointment for local families: a true theme village set up with hundreds of colorful pumpkins, autumn decorations, and corners dedicated to play and children's creativity.

A theme park for children and families

The heart of the event lies in the creative workshops: children can choose their own pumpkin and personalize it as they wish, painting and decorating it under the guidance of entertainers. Alongside the classic pumpkin decorating, the program includes group games, themed workshops, and thematic displays. The 2025 edition also introduced a workshop for making scented beeswax candles, showcasing a continuous search for new and engaging activities.

Organization and spirit of the event

The Pumpkin Village is organized by the Pro Loco Carinaro "Sant'Eufemia" with the patronage of the Municipality of Carinaro. The first edition in 2023 was born from an initiative of the municipal administration and social services; in subsequent years, the Pro Loco took over the organization, confirming the event's vocation to create an opportunity for leisure and sharing in a safe and welcoming environment. Admission has always been free to encourage the participation of all families.

Carinaro and the Caserta area

Carinaro is a small town in the Aversa area, in the province of Caserta, just a few kilometers from Aversa and the main roads connecting the area to Naples and Caserta. With events like the Pumpkin Village, the town enhances its public spaces — particularly the "A. Sepe" Municipal Villa — transforming them into gathering places for the community. It is a simple and genuine way to experience the autumn season, close to local families.

When it takes place

The event is traditionally held on the last weekend of October, close to Halloween, and lasts for three days. The third edition took place from October 24 to 26, 2025. For the 2026 edition, official dates have not yet been announced by the organizers: we recommend following the social media channels of the Pro Loco of Carinaro for updates.
