The beating heart of the event is the ice skating rink set up at the Arena dei Fiori, traditionally inaugurated at the beginning of December with an ice show and fireworks. Providing a counterpoint are the major musical appointments at the Pala Dean Martin: symphonic concerts, Christmas galas, and the New Year's Concert offer high-level evenings featuring prestigious orchestras and conductors.
