Cellino Christmas: The magic of the holidays in the village of Cellino Attanasio

Every December, the historic center of Cellino Attanasio, a small town in the province of Teramo, Abruzzo, dresses up for the holidays and becomes the stage for the Cellino Christmas. The event turns the village streets and squares into a true enchanted wonderland, featuring an emotional path that weaves together lights, installations, and activities designed especially for families and children.

"Bubble Christmas": A themed journey through bubbles

In recent editions, the Cellino Christmas has adopted the "Bubble Christmas" theme, a widespread display that guides visitors through the historic center. Along the route, you will find numerous scenic and themed installations, including:

• Santa's House, the heart of the experience for the little ones;
• the Wishing Tree, where you can leave a holiday wish;
• the Gingerbread Park and the Kissing Arch;
• the Elves' Dwelling and the Grinch's Hideout;
• light installations and bubble-themed scenery scattered throughout the village.

Activities, market, and entertainment

In addition to the installations, the Cellino Christmas offers a little train that travels through the village, a craft market with local products and gift ideas, shows dedicated to families and children, and animation areas with face painting for the little ones. The atmosphere is typical of small Abruzzo towns, where the community participates actively and hospitality is an integral part of the celebration.

Lighting ceremony and duration

The festive period officially kicks off with the lighting of the decorations and the tree on December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, and continues throughout the month until Epiphany on January 6th, when the arrival of the Befana brings the celebrations to a joyful close. Over the weeks, the village hosts moments of conviviality, Christmas traditions, and events that highlight the gastronomy and typical sweets of the Teramo region.

New Year's Eve with the "Bubbledanno Cellinese"

The highlight of the final part of the event is the Bubbledanno Cellinese, the New Year's Eve party organized under a heated tent set up in Cellino Attanasio. The evening combines dinner, live music, and DJ sets to celebrate the arrival of the new year within the festive village.

A community event

The Cellino Christmas is promoted by the Municipality of Cellino Attanasio in collaboration with the Pro Loco and local associations. It is an event that strengthens the village's identity and enhances its historic center, offering residents and visitors a chance to experience the holidays in an intimate and evocative atmosphere, far from the large tourist crowds but full of warmth.
