Christmas in the heart of the village

During the Advent season, the historic center of Collecorvino, a hilltop village in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo, transforms into a true Christmas Village. The streets and small squares of the town become an enchanting route filled with lights, decorations, and themed sets, where families, children, and visitors of all ages can immerse themselves in the holiday magic. The initiative, launched in 2022, is now a staple of the municipal Christmas calendar and attracts visitors from across the Vestina area.

A journey for young and old

The heart of the village is Santa's House, where little ones can meet the man with the white beard, alongside the Befana's House and the Elves' House with its library. Along the route, there is no shortage of creative workshops, animated readings, a stable with ponies and horses, and themed areas dedicated to Christmas characters. The artisan market and the MercaBimbo stand alongside a food area featuring local specialties, mulled wine, and roasted chestnuts, while daily performances include magic shows, giant soap bubbles, puppets, and live entertainment.

Organization and community

The Christmas Village is organized by the L'Arcobaleno Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Collecorvino. The event stems from a desire to bring the historic center to life and offer families an opportunity to gather in the heart of the village during the holidays, highlighting the town's spaces and local associations. It is a project that combines Christmas tradition, craftsmanship, and community spirit.

The event typically takes place during the first two weekends of December, spanning the Immaculate Conception holiday. Dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: check the official channels of the association and the Municipality for updates.
