Summer concerts and shows in an amphitheatre carved into the rock in Gavorrano
The Teatro delle Rocce Festival takes place in Gavorrano, a small town in the province of Grosseto, in the heart of the Maremma and the Tuscan Colline Metallifere. Its venue is one of the most fascinating places in Tuscany: the Teatro delle Rocce, an open-air amphitheatre carved from an ancient limestone quarry once linked to the area's mining activity. Inaugurated in September 2003, the space evokes the shape of a Greek theatre, with spectator tiers following the excavation front until they merge with the rock face.
With about two thousand seats, it is the most important open-air theatre in the northern part of the Grosseto area and is considered one of the most beautiful places in Italy to listen to music, thanks to the combination of landscape, industrial history, and sound quality.
The theatre is part of the Gavorrano Mining and Naturalistic Park, one of the gateways to the mining territory. Attending a concert here means immersing yourself in a landscape that tells the story of work in the tunnels, now reclaimed and returned to the community as a cultural space. The frame of bare rock, illuminated at night, amplifies the emotion of the performances and creates an atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere.
Organized by LEG Live Emotion Group in collaboration with the Municipality of Gavorrano, the festival enlivens summer nights, typically in August, with a lineup that alternates concerts by established Italian artists, comedy and theatrical shows, tributes, and nights dedicated to dance culture. Over the years, the stage has hosted singer-songwriters, pop bands, comedians, and well-known names in Italian pop music, confirming the Teatro delle Rocce as a landmark of the Maremma's musical summer.
The 2026 edition offers a series of events scheduled between August 4th and 20th, with tickets available on major platforms. Announced guests include popular pop bands, voices of Italian songwriting, comedy, and tribute shows, for a varied program designed for diverse audiences.
Between Gavorrano, the sea of the Maremma coast, and the villages of the Colline Metallifere, the Teatro delle Rocce Festival is a perfect opportunity to experience the Tuscan summer in an extraordinary setting.
The 2026 summer lineup at the Teatro delle Rocce in Gavorrano is spread over several evenings between August 4th and 20th. All events take place in the Mining Park's open-air amphitheatre.
The Teatro delle Rocce is located in Gavorrano (GR), within the Mining and Naturalistic Park, in the Colline Metallifere of the Tuscan Maremma.
By car: from the SS1 Aurelia, take the Gavorrano exit; you can reach the town and the mining park in a few minutes. By train: the Gavorrano station is on the Tyrrhenian line; from there, continue towards the village. The nearest airport is Florence; Pisa is a valid alternative.
Tickets for individual concerts are on sale on the TicketOne and Ticketmaster platforms and at authorized sales points. Prices vary depending on the event.
We recommend arriving early, bringing a sweatshirt for the cool August evenings, and planning an overnight stay in the area to enjoy the Maremma and the coast.
