The electronic music and urban regeneration festival at the Giardino degli Arcieri in Grosseto
ReGenea is an electronic music and urban regeneration festival that transforms the Giardino degli Arcieri in Grosseto into an open-air laboratory every year. The festival takes place on the Baluardo della Rimembranza, in the outdoor area of the striking Medicean Walls of the Maremma capital, and is part of the broader Arena Urbana program promoted by the Cooperativa di Comunità della Maremma Le Vie - Impresa Sociale.
ReGenea was born with a clear vision: to use music and creativity as levers to revitalize a city space. Alongside DJ sets and evenings dedicated to electronic music, the festival offers participatory design workshops, activities to enhance youth social life, and moments for discussion on the theme of urban regeneration. The Giardino degli Arcieri thus becomes a gathering point for local youth, as well as a replicable model for the shared care of public spaces.
The 2026 edition, the third, is spread across several dates throughout the season: the opening party on April 30th dedicated to electronic music, the ReGenea 3.0 event on May 29th and 30th featuring daytime and evening programming, and the final event in late September, included in the Notte Visibile della Cultura. The festival is designed as a sustainable event, with eco-friendly practices and an affordable pricing policy to encourage the widest possible participation.
Part of the rich summer calendar of Grosseto, in the Province of Grosseto in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, ReGenea is a youthful and contemporary complement to the city's cultural tradition. The setting of the Medicean Walls, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved in Italy, provides the backdrop for evenings where electronic music meets social and environmental commitment. The festival is supported by the Municipality of Grosseto, the Tuscany Region, and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze.
