An intimate blues festival by the Kulturverein Steinegg Live in Collepietra/Steinegg
Steinegg Live InBlues is the spring blues festival organized by the Kulturverein Steinegg Live in Collepietra/Steinegg, a village within the municipality of Cornedo all'Isarco/Karneid, in the province of Bolzano, nestled in the Val d'Ega (Eggental) and the Dolomites. Unlike the large summer Steinegg Live festival, the InBlues events are designed with a different spirit: small-scale concerts with limited seating, created to foster a direct connection between artists and the audience.
The unique feature of InBlues is its intimate and exclusive formula: spectators do not sit in front of the stage, but rather join the performers on it, behind the curtain of the Kulturhaus (Vereinshaus) in Steinegg. Musicians and listeners find themselves on the same level, in a cozy environment where every sonic nuance, every plucked string, and every spoken word carries special weight. It is a close-up, living-room-style listening experience that returns the blues to its most authentic and direct form.
Each edition presents a short but carefully curated program of concerts ranging from traditional blues to fingerstyle, folk, Americana, and bluegrass, featuring guests from Italy, the Alpine region, and beyond. The festival is typically held in the last week of April and is one of the most anticipated events for genre enthusiasts in South Tyrol.
The Kulturverein Steinegg Live has been enlivening the cultural life of the small village of Collepietra—also known as the "village of stars" (Sternendorf) for its tradition of sky-watching—for years. Alongside the summer live music festival, InBlues has become a recognizable brand over time for the quality of its offerings and the unique atmosphere it creates, attracting musicians and fans to Steinegg from across the region and beyond.
The sixteenth edition of Steinegg Live InBlues took place from Thursday, April 23 to Sunday, April 26, 2026 at the Kulturhaus (Vereinshaus) in Collepietra/Steinegg, in the municipality of Cornedo all'Isarco/Karneid, province of Bolzano. Four consecutive evenings, starting at 8:30 PM, confirmed the festival's intimate, close-up format, with the audience and musicians sharing the same stage.
The lineup alternated between blues, fingerstyle, folk, and Americana, with artists from the Alpine region, Italy, and abroad. The final evening, dedicated to the Pamstiddn Kings with a film and concert, was completely sold out.
