The world's only international trade fair entirely dedicated to the apple
Interpoma — The Apple Fair is the only international trade fair in the world entirely dedicated to the apple, covering every stage of the supply chain: cultivation, storage, processing, and marketing. It is held biennially at Fiera Bolzano (Messe Bozen), in the municipality of Bolzano, the capital of the autonomous province of Bolzano in Trentino-South Tyrol. The choice of venue is no coincidence: South Tyrol is Europe's largest apple-growing area, with over 18,000 hectares of orchards and a production tradition that makes it a global benchmark.
Founded in 2000, Interpoma has grown to become the reference event for the entire international apple industry. Each edition attracts over 400 exhibitors from more than twenty countries and approximately 16,000 professional visitors from over sixty nations across every continent. Producers, technicians, researchers, nurserymen, and machinery companies meet in Bolzano to exchange ideas on innovations and the challenges of a constantly evolving sector.
Interpoma is structured into several complementary components that make it much more than a simple trade exhibition:
Beyond its value to industry professionals, Interpoma is an event that highlights the agricultural identity of South Tyrol and the entire Trentino-South Tyrol region, a land where apple cultivation is an integral part of the landscape, economy, and local culture. The fair is held in late autumn, the symbolic season of the harvest, confirming Bolzano as a European crossroads for research, business, and apple-growing tradition.
The 14th edition of Interpoma takes place at Fiera Bolzano from Wednesday, November 25 to Friday, November 27, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The central theme is spraying technology, alongside digitalization and the "orchard of the future" concept successfully launched in the previous edition.
The Interpoma Congress, scheduled for Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27, dedicates the first day to new strategies in spraying technology ("efficiency and sustainability") and the second to a focus on Latin America, with speakers from Brazil, Chile, and Mexico. The Interpoma Award, with a jury chaired by Prof. Massimo Tagliavini, rewards the most significant innovations in the field of spraying technologies, accompanied by the Visitors' Choice Award voted on by the public. Interpoma Tours in the orchards of Trentino-South Tyrol are also confirmed.
Fiera Bolzano is located at Piazza Fiera 1, at the intersection of Via Buozzi and Via Marco Polo in Bolzano. By train, Bolzano station is well-connected on the Brenner line (Verona–Innsbruck); from the station, the exhibition center is easily reachable by public transport. By car, take the Bolzano Sud exit on the A22 Brenner motorway. The nearest airport is Bolzano, while the airports of Verona and Innsbruck offer more international connections.
The fair is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Daily online ticket €30 (€35 at the door), 3-day pass €42; reduced tickets for under 40s (€15) and over 65s (€30), free for children under 6. The online ticket also serves as a travel pass for South Tyrol public transport. The Interpoma Congress requires a separate ticket.
