The Spring Concert is one of the most anticipated events in the musical season of Caderzone Terme, a small town in the green heart of Val Rendena, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). The star of the evening is the Caderzone Terme Municipal Band, which uses this concert to welcome the arrival of spring and renew its deep bond with the local community.

A band with over a century and a half of history

The ensemble traces its roots back to 1853, when it was founded as the village musical society, later becoming the Philharmonic Singing Society: it was among the first band ensembles in Trentino and the Giudicarie area. After a long hiatus due to the First World War, the band was re-founded in January 1992 by a group of enthusiasts, officially returning to the stage on June 21 of the same year during the Corpus Domini procession in the historic center.

Today, the band brings together a large group of musicians, supported by a youth band that ensures generational turnover and the involvement of younger players. In 2017, the ensemble celebrated 25 years since its re-foundation, and more recently, it marked thirty years of continuous activity with an evening dedicated to memories, images, and music.

The repertoire of the Spring Concert draws from the rich Central European band tradition, with folk music inspired by Austrian and German styles, while also branching out into marches, film scores, concert pieces, and more modern works. It is an evening designed for the whole family, where the band shares the fruits of their weekly rehearsals with the public.
