An evening of solidarity, fine food, and culture in the heart of the Roero village
The Solidarity Dinner is a charity initiative that every summer transforms the center of Santa Vittoria d'Alba, a small village in the Roero area in the province of Cuneo (Piedmont), into a large open-air dining room. The evening takes place in the scenic Piazza Conte E. Marone Cinzano, named after the famous vermouth family that had its historic plant here for decades. The idea is simple and powerful: sitting down together to do good, as all proceeds from the evening are donated to support local association projects.
The donations collected during the dinner support the activities of two local charity organizations: AMA.LE and Cometa-Cocoon. Participating in the evening means not only enjoying a great meal in good company but also contributing concretely to solidarity initiatives that support the most vulnerable members of the community.
The Solidarity Dinner is not just a social gathering: it is also an opportunity to rediscover the historical and artistic treasures of Santa Vittoria d'Alba. Before sitting down to eat, participants can take part in guided and independent tours of two iconic village landmarks:
A combination that makes this evening different from the usual festivals: here, solidarity intertwines with the history and art of a village that deserves to be known.
The Solidarity Dinner menu is a tribute to Piedmontese cuisine: appetizers, mixed grilled meats, side dishes, and desserts accompany an evening designed for both adults and children. Among the desserts, the unmissable peaches in Moscato wine, and for the little ones, there are dedicated moments such as bedtime story readings. Drinks, including local Roero wines, are included in the price of the evening.
The Solidarity Dinner is organized with the support of the Municipality of Santa Vittoria d'Alba and local associations. It is designed as a festive moment accessible to all ages, where families, friends, and curious visitors can meet outdoors in one of the most beautiful squares in the Roero. A simple formula that proves how, around a table, a small community can achieve great things.
