Sapori di Langa, the gourmet heart of Clavesana

In the municipality of Clavesana, a small village perched on the hills of the Langhe in the Province of Cuneo, Sapori di Langa is the annual festival that brings the community together around the table, music, and sport. For four days, Piazza Don Giovanni Rossi transforms into the town's living room: you eat well, dance, cycle, and discover a corner of Piedmont that is still little-known, yet rich in history and genuine flavors.

Four evenings, four atmospheres

The beauty of Sapori di Langa lies in the variety of its program. Each evening has a different theme and identity: from the paella of the Latin night to the pizzas of the weekend, from the acrobatic BMX freestyle show to bike rides through the vineyards. It is a village festival in the most genuine sense of the term, where traditional dishes meet the energy of younger, more adrenaline-fueled events.

On the trail of the Ballerina

The most evocative moment is the bike excursion along the loop trail On the Trail of the Ballerina of Clavesana, a 15-kilometer route designed for walkers and cyclists. The track crosses the town center and the hamlets of Sbaranzo, Surie, and Ghigliani, telling the story of Ester Teresa Ferrero, a ballerina born in Clavesana in 1853 who graced the stages of Vienna, Paris, and Saint Petersburg before returning to her hometown. The initiative was created as part of the Bici in Comune project, funded by the Ministry for Sport and Youth, and also involves the neighboring municipality of Bastia Mondovì.

The Langhe to be experienced

Clavesana is wine country: its name is linked to Dolcetto and a historic local wine cooperative. Participating in Sapori di Langa means immersing yourself in a UNESCO World Heritage hilly landscape, made of vineyards, hazelnut groves, and small villages. An ideal stop for those visiting the Province of Cuneo who want to get to know the most authentic and popular face of the Piedmontese Langhe.
