The mountain market featuring Monte Baldo products in Brentonico
Sapori d'Autunno is the autumn event that brings the best of the region's agricultural and artisanal production to the Cesare Battisti Park in Brentonico, in the heart of the Monte Baldo Local Nature Park. Organized by the Pro Loco Brentonico Monte Baldo in collaboration with the APT Rovereto, Vallagarina and Monte Baldo, the event attracts visitors and curious onlookers every year in search of the genuine flavors of the Trentino mountains.
The core of the event is the mountain market, which brings together local producers and artisans with stalls overflowing with Monte Baldo specialties. Key highlights include wine and craft beer, alpine cheeses, preserves, honey, wild and aromatic herbs, polenta, and the prized Castione chestnuts—the iconic autumn treat of the Lagarina valley. Visitors can taste and purchase directly from the producers, rediscovering the bond between the town of Brentonico and its land.
Alongside the food stalls, Sapori d'Autunno offers demonstrations of traditional crafts curated by local associations, workshops and entertainment designed for children, carriage rides, and horseback riding. The activities range from guided tours of the nearby Botanical Garden of Monte Baldo to experiences dedicated to nature and alpine wildlife, making for a weekend that combines taste, culture, and exploration of the territory.
The two days are accompanied by live music and a festive atmosphere that involves the entire Brentonico community. Local chefs prepare menus based on regional ingredients, while the park's streets and squares come alive with stalls, scents, and the typical colors of autumn.
Located in the Municipality of Brentonico, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige), the Monte Baldo plateau is famous for its extraordinary biodiversity, so much so that it is nicknamed the "Hortus Europae," or Garden of Europe. Sapori d'Autunno is the perfect opportunity to discover this territory in its most evocative season, amidst forests turning red and gold and products that tell centuries of rural tradition.
The dates for the 2026 edition are confirmed: Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the Cesare Battisti Park in Brentonico (Monte Baldo), with a postponement to October 24-25 in case of bad weather. The detailed program, including times, workshops, and appointments, will be published by the Pro Loco Brentonico Monte Baldo in the weeks leading up to the event.
Once again this year, the heart of the event will be the zero-mile mountain market featuring typical Monte Baldo products, accompanied by family activities, demonstrations of traditional crafts, and live music.
