Autunno DiVino: Moscato Giallo takes center stage in Besenello

Autunno DiVino is the food and wine event that transforms the historic center of Besenello, a town in the Vallagarina valley in the province of Trento, into a gourmet trail dedicated to local flavors and wines every autumn. Organized by the Besenello in Festa association, the festival celebrates the end of the harvest and the arrival of the autumn season among the courtyards and streets of the village, in a spirit of sharing that involves the entire community.

The Moscato Giallo of Castel Beseno

The true star of the event is the Moscato Giallo of Besenello, available in both dry and passito versions. This wine is produced from grapes grown in the Castel Beseno sub-zone and gives rise to the Trentino Superiore Castel Beseno DOC, a rare excellence given the limited area dedicated to the production of Moscato Giallo. Tasting it directly in the village that produces it, in the shadow of the imposing Castel Beseno, is the experience that makes this Trentino-Alto Adige festival unique.

A gourmet trail through the courtyards

During the event, the courtyards of the historic center host numerous food and wine stands, where you can savor local culinary specialties accompanied by wines from local wineries. The gastronomic offering is accompanied by a rich entertainment program:

• live music and DJ sets on various evenings;
• craft and art exhibitions;
• electric mini-moto trials, workshops, and games for children;
• playroom, model making, and face painting;
• the unmissable tombola.

A community celebration

Autunno DiVino is the result of the hard work of volunteers and local associations: alongside Besenello in Festa, numerous local entities collaborate, such as Libero Pensiero, the Alpini Association, the Besenello Fire Brigade, and many other local groups. Admission is free, a testament to the popular and welcoming spirit of the event, which attracts visitors from all over the Vallagarina and the rest of Trentino every year.

Located just a few kilometers from Rovereto and Trento, the town of Besenello is dominated by Castel Beseno, the largest fortress in Trentino.
